Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal says two leaders will depart company, hiring paused

Twitter Chief Executive Parag Agrawal announced in an email to employees on Thursday, which was seen by Reuters, that the company’s leaders for the consumer division and revenue will depart the social media company. The news comes as billionaire entrepreneur  Elon Musk  is working to close a $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter. Russia Ukraine War Live: EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Friday that the bloc would provide   another 500 millions euros worth of military support   to Ukraine and that he was confident a deal could be reached in the coming days to agree an embargo on Russian oil. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials say their forces took out another Russian ship in the Black Sea. Ukraine said that Russia’s Vsevolod Bobrov logistics ship was struck as it was trying to deliver an anti-aircraft system to Snake Island. He said the ship was badly damaged but was not believed to have sunk. There was no confirmation from Russia and no reports of casualties. Mumbai News: NIA arrests Chhota Shakeel’s two aides for handling activities, financial transactions of Dawood’s crime syndicate

Mumbai News Updates:  The National Investigation Agency has arrested two Mumbai based alleged associates of Dawood Ibrahim and Shakeel Shaikh alias Chhota Shakeel. The arrested accused have been identified as Arif Abubakar Shaikh (59) and Shabbir Abubakar Shaikh (51).  As per NIA both were involved in handling Dawood Ibrahim’s illegal activities and terrorist financing in the western suburbs of Mumbai. They were produced before the special NIA court today and have been sent to NIA’s custody till May 20. Maharashtra on Thursday recorded 231 fresh coronavirus cases and one more death linked to the infection, according to news agency  PTI . With this, the state’s overall Covid-19 tally rose to 78,80,074, while the death toll increased to 1,47,851. Mumbai, meanwhile, recorded 139 cases in the last 24 hours, accounting for more than 50 per cent of the new patients in the state.
